BPC-157
What is BPC-157?
Body Protection Compound-157 (BPC-157) is a pentadecapeptide derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice. It is renowned for its systemic healing properties, particularly in tendons, ligaments, and the gastrointestinal tract.
Mechanism of Action
BPC-157 accelerates healing by promoting angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels) via the upregulation of VEGF. It also modulates the nitric oxide system, protecting endothelium and reducing inflammation.
Benefits
- Accelerates tendon and ligament repair
- Promotes gut healing (IBS/IBD)
- Reduces systemic inflammation
- Protects organs from toxin damage
- Enhances nitric oxide production
Typical Dosage
- 250-500mcg daily (systemic/gut health)
- 250mcg twice daily (injury recovery)
- Oral or Subcutaneous injection
Side Effects
- Generally well-tolerated
- Rare mild nausea
- Potential interactions with blood pressure medications
Dosage Protocol
BPC-157 is versatile and can be administered subcutaneously or orally. For injury recovery (tendons/ligaments), subcutaneous injection near the injury site or systematically is common. Typical dosage is 250–500 mcg per day. For acute injuries, dosing 250 mcg twice daily (morning and evening) is often recommended. For gut health, oral administration (capsules or stable liquid) of 500 mcg daily is effective. Cycles typically last 4–12 weeks. BPC-157 is often stacked with TB-500 for synergistic healing effects.
