Selank

Selank is a synthetic peptide derived from the naturally occurring tuftsin, with an added stabilizing sequence. Developed in Russia, it's primarily known for its anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) and nootropic (cognitive-enhancing) effects without the sedative or addictive properties of traditional anxiolytics like benzodiazepines. Selank works by modulating the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain, particularly serotonin and norepinephrine, and by influencing the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which supports neuronal health and plasticity. It has also shown immunomodulatory properties. Selank is used to reduce anxiety and stress, improve mood, enhance cognitive function (memory, learning, focus), and support immune function, especially during periods of stress.
