Epitalon
Эпиталон
Target Organ
Pineal Gland
Description
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) that is the active component of Epithalamin, confirmed to exist endogenously in pineal gland extracts in 2017. It is the most researched synthetic anti-aging peptide in the world. Epitalon activates the telomerase enzyme by inducing expression of TERT gene components, leading to telomere elongation at the ends of chromosomes—the protective caps that shorten with each cell division and contribute to cellular aging. Studies show it can increase telomere length by an average of 33%, though results vary among individuals. Epitalon also regulates melatonin synthesis via pineal gland support, improving sleep and hormonal balance. It has antioxidant properties, enhances immune function, and may reduce the risk of age-related neurodegenerative diseases.
⚙️ Mechanism of Action
Activates telomerase gene (TERT), inducing telomerase enzyme activity and promoting telomere elongation. Regulates melatonin synthesis through pineal gland optimization, promotes chromatin condensation for genetic stability, and provides antioxidant and immune-modulating effects.
